Year 50 And Counting – TPC Blue Monster Course Celebrates 50 Years of Hosting PGA Tour Events

This week, the World Golf Championships – Cadillac Championship will be played at the TPC Blue Monster Doral Golf Resort & Spa. This will be the 50th consecutive year that this beautiful Florida golf course has hosted a premier PGA Tour event.

Over the years, many legendary battles have been played on the challenging Blue Monster fairways. Past champions of PGA events contested at Doral include World Golf Hall Of Famers such as Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Greg Norman, Tom Kite, Billy Casper, Raymond Floyd, Ben Crenshaw, Nick Faldo and of course Tiger Woods.

The Blue Monster began hosting the Cadillac Championship in 2007. Previously, it was home to the PGA Tour’s Doral Open for 44 years.

Golf Magazine ranks the par 4, 449 yard 18th hole in it’s “Top 100 Holes in the World”.
